To retire is not to quit:

Renuka's retirement plans were strange. She wanted her son to build a home for his family, with a single room with a single cot and kitchen area with an attached bathroom for herself on the ground floor.
After having worked as a senior designs engineer in a reputed firm; her serious plan was to keep both her sewing machines to herself.
Arun was quite amazed to see his widowed mother's plans. He knew for a person of her calibre to retire was another paradigm shift.
After having settled with all the construction work and the housewarming; he could see his mother putting up a board which stated that stitching work would be done near the gate. He was a bit worried about his mother's boredom while he and his family were away for work during the daytime. But as how she used to have her own small but elegant ways; here too she was so very busy catering to the new orders in tailoring!
Every day from 8 am. to 8 pm. she had transformed herself into a busy bee carrying out her work so methodically, furnishing the orders of her customers. Even at 62, it was really a surprise that she could manage on her sewing machine without the help of glasses!!!
Back to her passion of tailoring, the warmth with which she took it up, meticulously doing with the stitching of salwars, sari blouses and tops, she dealt with her clients with such precision and goodness. To every other person in that area, Renuka was a person who had the yogic transmission of her hobby into a karmic excellence!
