I wanted to spend some time with my good old friend of yesterdays. Well, I did not want to barge into her space without informing. So I whatsapped to her informing about my visiting her. In no time I got her reply saying that I was welcome. Well, my heart thumped out of sheer joy of a friend's welcome response in spite of her busy schedule.
As for how I wanted to, I decided to go by bus in the morning. I somehow relish the hungama of travelling by the local buses. Because public transport is a great leveller that does not differentiate people whatsoever.
The time to alight the bus I once again gave a call to remind her of my arrival. Well, she replied that she was in her bath and I could wait for some time in her beautiful garden. Time started ticking.....I once again called her to inform of my arrival. This time too I got a reply that she's still at her bath. Gosh ....! I couldn't understand why my childhood friend had to be so self-conscious about her looks...because she knows pretty well that I am not a person who cares for looks.
Slowly I could hear her coming down to open the main door. Well not to say that I had become quite impatient of waiting for long. The door opened and I was shocked to find her slowly making her move with crutches. ..!!!!
Very sadly she said that she had fallen down from the stairs and did not want to trouble anybody. Yet had an inert desire to see me for no reason. Quietly she asserted the power of telepathy that's still powerful in this digital universe. I was dumb-stuck with awe.
